First of all, Happy Easter Day!

I had a hell of great time for the past two days!
Here's a quick recap:

Friday, April 11

I spent the night clubbing with Naoko, Sam & her group of friends at Zirca & REBEL. Naoko found the bag familiar when I gave it to her & she remembered it was from Haji Lane. I'm glad she likes the straw string bag & she suggest that we check out Attica next time. We left Clark Quay around 2.30-2.45am & was dead tired when I hit the sack. My legs were aching so badly too!

Saturday, April 12

I was planning to go Zoo with Ping, Joan, Cindy & Peijun on Sat morning, but I had a really bad headache. In the end, they went ahead with the visit while I rested at home. I woke up in the afternoon & recovered after some painkillers. Jo messaged me & we went for dinner at Sizzler subsequently. They have a salad bar & I felt the price was really worth it! You can eat all you want at the price of $16.90 & choose from a wide variety.

P/S: Jo also gave me alot of pressies; 2 dresses, 1 Anna Sui perfume & a vintage bag. I felt really loved! Thank you!

Yesterday's Interview - It Was Good!

WenD, thank U v.much for accompanying me & spending the day hanging out in Bugis! It was really fun exploring Sunshine Plaza, Iluma & re-visiting Haji Lane!

Rebecca came to join us after she knocked off from work. We went to Haji Lane together and settled down for our dinner @ Banquet. Jo also brought Rebecca & myself to eat the famous Rochor Soya Bean. I really appreciate all the friendship and time we spent together.

I've bought a pressie for Naoko. I'm sure she'll be surprised to receive that tomorrow. We will be having dinner @ Curry Flavor before we hit ButterFactory =)

Jun Heng's Graduation

I slept for four hours right after my return from Jun Heng's Graduation Ceremony. He had his convocation @ RP's Cultural Centre this morning & together with my mom, we attended the ceremony.

I can't help feeling moody right now. I don't know why. Suddenly everything seems to be uncertain and the life in front of me appears to be shaky. Could this be one of the mood swings? I don't know. I just feel lousy.

My interviewer from Mercer has actually forwarded my CV to SIM HR. Apparently, she has a friend working there & got to know that they have vacancies. Her friend called & asked me to go down for interview next week. I also have an interview tomorrow as a HR Recruiter. Kinda looking forward to it =)

God, please gimme your strength to pull thru this tough phrase & I hope everything will come to an end soon.

An Interview Today

It didn't go well.

The interviewer kept telling me that the university graduates are asking for less than $2K salary and why should he be paying me $15 more than my last drawn salary?

I cannot lower my asking price because I have to factor in the following:

1) The office is at Tuas with pickup points @ Clementi & Lakeside
2) They require staff to work 44 hours a week including every Sat. My previous Co only require staff to work for 5 days at 40 hours a week.

I'm not being demanding but having to consider the travelling distance (I have to wake up even earlier then when I'm working in Shenton Way) and go back to office every Sat for 4 hours; I felt that asking for $15 more than my last drawn is not too much!

He was even bragging abt how profitable the company is & even when times are bad, they are still making money!

We will see how it goes.

My impression of the interviewer is bad also. I don't quite like the way he conduct himself when we were having a conversation. He was not giving me precise answers & instead, beat abt the bush. I shall keep my fingers crossed.

Not a Gd Monday Morning

I woke up due to a phone ringing this morning and it was not a piece of good news to begin with.

Mercer has called to inform me that they are having a headcount freeze. Yes, that means they cannot hire me until the headcount freeze has been lifted from the management.

Now, I'm back to square one. I'm kinda disappointed honestly cos I was rooting to work for Mercer until I finished my studies. It was recommended by my HR tutor & they are willing to accomodate to the fact that I cannot work late most of the time.

I'm just browsing thru the job portals & sending out my CVs now.

Please keep me in your prayers.
Hopefully I can find another placement soon.

Nice Sunday

Honestly speaking, I felt like a muffin being baked in an oven. Hence, you can imagine my parents and I welcomed the rain with our open arms when the sky was turning dark.

Indeed, today is Sunday & Sunday shld be sunny for outdoor activities. But having suffered under the merciless sun for the past week, we would rather stay at home & enjoy what the rain will bring to us.

I can always do my laundry another day =)

Joelle's Bday Dinner

I met up with Joelle last night for dinner & she ended up giving me a treat when I excused myself to the ladies.

We chat abt our recent events & our plans in the near future. Somehow I felt 'lifted up' & happier.

I woke up with a heavy head & was glad that the pain was gone after one panadol. It is Jacqueline's bday today & I went down to her chalet @ Aloha Loyang in the evening. She is still working for SilkAir as a cabin crew & is still as stunning as before. Esther, Zhenlin, Siyin, Nicholas & Wenbin were there too. Everyone is still the same i.e. working. As for Zhenlin, her boyfriend: Raymond has proposed & wedding bells will soon be ringing for this girl~!

The Missing GirL

So she has disappeared for one year after owing me my credit card bills & this afternoon, out of the blue, she smsed to ask how I'm doing. She even suggested having a dinner tonight (i.e. yesterday, March 31).

So did I turn up?

Yes. I did. I met up with her @ Northpoint.

At first I was skeptical about her true intentions. My brother even thought that she was trying to sell insurance!

Alright, so she had dinner @ Long John Silver (I ate mine b4hand). She talked abt her elder brother who got married last year, her hubby is out of job (again) & she had an operation to remove her appendix.

Was she apologetic? Apparently no.
Not a single sign of remorse!

We part our ways after walking around Northpoint & yup, she said: "We'll meet up again with Wendy another day."

Sorry that I've sound really cynical. True friends will always be there when one has run into troubles in life. You don't just 'pop' out of nowhere when you feel lonely & needed someone. Then 'delete' that person out of your life when both of you are not in good terms.

Dun ya agree?

Anyhoo, Its late & I shall end my blog here for today.
